Opportunity Care was started in October 2009 by Louise Edmonds. The business was built on a passion to provide people with disabilities the best possible care whilst also providing opportunities to get the best out of life with a caring hand to support, guide and keep them safe. Whilst doing so this will also provide the family with respite. The logo represents these beliefs and the staff that are recruited require the same ethos.
Louise has 20 years experience of working with young people with a vast range of special needs. She has worked as a teaching assistant, youth worker, respite carer, enabler and manager. As a manager the settings she managed received an outstanding Ofsted report. She is committed to providing a high quality service and wants to use all the knowledge and experience she has gained to provide a service that listens to your individual needs. She will work with you to get the best possible outcome for all involved.
As from February 2010 Louise’s husband became a partner in the business and enables individuals. He was also a teaching assistant in a nurture group and has years of experience in similar roles as Louise. He is also very dedicated and passionate about the service they offer and it is great to have a positive male role model involved.
They both see it as a life style rather than a job and hopefully this comes across when you meet them.
There are strict guidelines on recruitment and staff also are required to attend on going training.
